Spin A Flock
NOTE: WILL SHIP in 1-2 weeks
Join together as we spin from the same flock.
Take an opportunity to spin from individual sheep with fibre hand processed by me (Brittany) and discover the joys of working with luxurious fibres wooly.
I have taken every effort to ensure your fibre is well prepared.
Each batt has been carded 4 to 5 times on a carding cloth with 90 TPI (Tines Per Inch).
You will receive the following:
5 carded batts from 6 sheep from the same flock in Caroline, Alberta.
I have had the pleasure of processing these fleeces from Crocus Country Shepherdess.
Nora - 70.25% Gotland 29.75% BFL bloodlines - Fall 2021 clip
3-4 inch staple length. Should be spun lower twist otherwise you will have a yarn which results in the characteristics of rope. Nora is a beautiful Ewe with light grey heathered wool. Here fall fleece is lustrous and wavy curls.
Torfall 61% BFL 39% Gotland - Spring 2022 clip
3-4 inc staple length. A curly fibre with dark grey tips and white cut ends. This fibre has lots of energy and spins really beautifully. Can take a bit more twist, but the Gotland bloodline is still there, so keep it airy and light.
Tansy 100% Icelandic - Fall 2021 clip"
4-5 inch staple length. Consisting of more Thel (soft downy undercoat) than Tog (long higher micron outer coat). Softer than a typical Icelandic fibre and an oatmeal colour.
