My favourite lake in the Yukon is Emerald lake. Its edges are traced with long grass and wildflowers. Rose-hips cluster freely all around. Beneath the depths of this small lake is where the magic lies. Blazing emerald green lights the tapestry before you as you drive by, piercing your heart with excitement. The cuff of these socks reflect the bushy, wild nature that surrounds this beautiful lake, and the delicate lace pattern on the top of the foot reminds me of all the wildflowers. The beautifully hand dyed yarn by Comfy Cozy Knits is clearly the show stopper.

I was born and raised here in this wonderful, far north Canadian paradise.
Emerald Lake is a place I look forward to each and every time I drive down the South Klondike Highway.

Emerald Lake is a sock pattern that features a delicate lace pattern on the top of the foot with a nupp stitch that lays flat. A more intricate lace motif is featured at the cuff.
The sample has a Fish Lips Kiss heel, but you may substitute a different heel method if preferred.

Lastly, the sock is finished with a simple 1 x 1 twisted rib.
